Hometown Heroes Honored in Baltimore

The American Red Cross Chesapeake Region honored local citizens and organizations who act as heroes to the local community in the 2014 Hometown Heroes celebration March 27 at the Lyric Opera House.

Jovian Concepts was proud to sponsor the event which recognized Dr. Carnell Cooper, Alec Ross, Jessica Turral, Lauren Hontz, and local spice giant McCormick & Company for making significant contributions to the well-being of fellow citizens. Tribute was paid to local fallen hero U.S. Army Captain Sara Knutson Cullen, whose husband and family were present to accept the honor.

In addition to providing extensive disaster relief, preparedness training, and blood donation services, the American Red Cross program Service to Armed Forces places volunteers in a variety of capacities at local bases and VA hospitals, supports families of service members, and assists with emergency communication American Red Crossbetween service members and their families. Jovian Concepts strives to enrich the environment in which our employees work and live by supporting programs aimed at improving the lives of U.S. Armed Forces.
