CCBC President's Club Reception Welcomes Dr. Scheper

Jovian Concepts was recently represented by Dr. Richard Scheper at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) President's Club Reception. Hosted by President of CCBC, Dr. Sandra L. Kurtinitis, the gathering honored supporters who help the school expand programs and opportunities through philanthropic gifts. Dr. Scheper met with students and faculty at the December holiday event, where he gained familiarity with the academic community. CCBC Honors Program Lead Director Dr. Rae Rosenthal was also in attendance, seen below with Dr. Scheper and Honors Student Ambassador Samantha Roche.

The CCBC Honors Program promotes critical and analytic thinking skills through independent discovery in a small class size environment. Students in the program receive the benefits of faculty mentorship, special event opportunities, partial scholarships, and recognition at graduation. The Honors Program encourages students to apply, even if they have not performed up to their potential in past educational experiences, as long as they demonstrate a commitment to succeed. The openness to personal change is an attitude that Dr. Scheper shares. Jovian Concepts is proud to have established a new endowed scholarship for CCBC Honors Students in 2014.
