Get Involved with Jovian Concepts--Summer 2022

Summer is heating up at Jovian Concepts! If you're wondering what our award-winning culture looks like in action, scroll through some of the events we're enjoying this season at Jovian Concepts.

Where do you go when the temps start soaring? To the beach, of course! We spent a long weekend relaxing (and dancing) in the Bahamas this year for our teambuilding retreat. The location was a Jovian-favorite from years past, voted on by employees. How could we refuse a return visit to clear waters and bottomless pineapple beverages?

Speaking of beverages, Jovians and their Plus Ones are currently mixing and shaking their way through some test recipes. It's time for our annual cocktail contest! Each year the signature drink served at our holiday party is a recipe created by someone in our Jovian family. Both Jovians and their Plus Ones get a chance to vote after taste-testing recipes at our annual family picnics.

Picnics take place in each of our locations under the leadership of our amazing site leads. At most locations, Jovians and their families bring favorite recipes to share that extend well beyond cocktails! We've tasted some creative chili, admired cleverly-carved watermelons, and picked some Old Bay crabs.

In search of some rockfish and maybe a few surprises, Jovian Concepts is heading out on the Chesapeake Bay! Like so many of our events promoting our Core Value of Cohesiveness, this fishing trip is the suggestion of one of our Jovians. Other employee-led activities this season include movie nights and a beer festival in Augusta, baseball games, and training for an upcoming Bridge Run across the bay.

Before we know it, summer will transition to fall. While many of us share the excitement the school season brings, we recognize that for many families in our area autumn brings the burden of providing school supplies for their children. Jovian Concepts is collecting new and gently used school supplies throughout August to help local families start the school year ready for learning. Learn more here.
