Looking Forward with the Spirit of What is Yet to Come

As this most unusual year draws to a close, we take inspiration from the holiday classic A Christmas Carol. Through a series of visits from three Christmas ghosts, author Charles Dickens illustrates the personal growth journey as a combination of reflection on the past, awareness of the present, and hopeful planning for the future.

At Jovian Concepts we embrace a similar approach (minus the ghosts!) through regular opportunities for all three perspectives of Personal Growth. Retreats and teambuilding trips offer time for reflection. Small personnel sections and quarterly meetings with President Rich Scheper provide the chance to connect in the present and ask questions. And many benefits at Jovian Concepts look to the future, such as full up-front tuition payments and our generous 401k plan.

Personal Growth is one of the Core Values at Jovian Concepts so we regularly see it in action. Take for example the response one of our employees provided to a query about life lessons in our monthly employee newsletter:

No matter what my task is, there is always room for improvement and there is always the chance that someone may have a better way to get the task done. Early on I learned that it is better to put aside my pride and learn from those around me so that I can grow professionally and learn new or more current skills.

Is there a better way to sum up the lesson Charles Dickens conveys in his timeless tale? The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come in Dickens' tale teaches us that the future is what we make it by being open minded and fostering Personal Growth. That's a Big Idea.

And Big Ideas are Jovian Concepts.
