What's the Big Idea about a Family Picnic?

A gathering of tiny shoes next to the bouncy house is a sure sign that something fun is happening.

Every year, as summer draws to a close, the extended Jovian Concepts family gathers to celebrate the anniversary of the company.

Jovian Concepts hasn't always celebrated the anniversary by holding a picnic. The first anniversary celebration was held at Basignani Winery, while the annual winter holiday party was held inside Dr. Richard Scheper's home.

Once the cold-weather crowd outgrew the house, it seemed natural to switch things around; the winter holiday celebration moved to local venues and the outdoor summer picnic is now tradition at the Schepers' house.

It is important to the Schepers to welcome fellow employees into their home, as family, and the picnic is an opportunity for this to happen.

As Jovian Concepts expands into other locations, the summer celebration acquires the flavor of each new state. Locally planned and coordinated, current anniversary events can include anything from dockside cocktails in Florida, water slides in Colorado, or "Cards Against Humanity" in Georgia. In all four locations the picnic includes significant others, children, close friends, and other members of our extended Jovian Concepts family.

The annual family picnic gives employees another chance to socialize informally and show off some skills their coworkers might not know about-- an amazing corn hole throw, a mean rum cake recipe, a watermelon carving talent, or some bouncy house acrobatics. Not all the shoes near the bouncy house are tiny, after all.
