Baseball season is finally here! Took a little longer than normal to arrive this year, but we're glad to be able to go see some games. We're even raffling off some Orioles bling to celebrate! Jovian Concepts provides tickets and parking passes for employees to take their friends and families to enjoy some local games. We're particularly fond of the Orioles since Baltimore is the hometown of our president Rich Scheper, but we provide this perk for our employees in all Jovian locations.
Several Jovians are taking the plunge to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics in Maryland (SOMD) this season. Jovian Concepts sponsored each Jovian's registration and many have raised additional funds to benefit Maryland athletes. Follow us on Instagram to see pictures from the Polar Bear Plunge March 26th!
Are you a pet parent? You'd fit right in here at Jovian Concepts where pets are some of our favorite people! This season we're showing senior dogs some love by hosting a wish list drive for the Senior Dog Sanctuary (SDS). Founded by retired Air Force Colonel Val Lynch, the SDS provides rescue, foster, and adoption services for the community. Learn more about the drive here.
Getting in the swing of spring, we're heading to Five Iron Golf for an evening of socializing. Some serious practicing might also happen, but it's not required. If golf is your thing, be sure to mark your calendar for October 7th Jovian Concepts 8th Annual Golf Tournament to benefit the American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces. Plans are already in (you're gonna love this) full swing.
Spring marks the anniversary of our Vice President, Heather Johnson. A true Jovian, Heather exemplifies our Down to Earth, Up to the Challenge spirit. We honor her anniversary each year with a celebration. The Anniversary Dinner is one of the many traditions that makes Jovian Concepts seem like a family. Congratulations, Ms. Johnson, on twelve years of being a professional leader in our company!
Speaking of being Up to the Challenge, congratulations are also in order for our Jovians who've been earning their PMP certifications this season. Jovian Concepts is proud to be home to so many Project Management Professionals. Personal Growth is one of the five core values chosen by our employees.
