Jovian Concepts Is Recognized for Philanthropy

Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) presents Jovian Concepts with an Outstanding Benefactor Award. Additionally, Jovian Concepts founder and President Richard Scheper, Ph.D., is presented both the Outstanding Philanthropy Award and the Outstanding Advocate Award in appreciation for his personal and corporate support of community education.


Richard Scheper serves on the CCBC Board of Trustees as an appointee of Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and is a Foundation Board Member for the school. Having attended CCBC as an undergraduate, Dr. Scheper supports the mission to transform "lives by providing an accessible, affordable, and high-quality education that prepares students for transfer and career success, strengthens the regional workforce, and enriches our community." (Mission and Values (ccbcmd.edu)) The community college serves nearly 50,000 students per year and offers degree, certificate, and workplace certification programs in a broad range of fields, including engineering, air traffic control, and cybersecurity.
