Veteran Students Send their Thanks for Your Support

The Twelfth Annual Jovian Concepts Golf Tournament was held October 2026 to benefit veteran and military-connected students at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC). Students throughout Central Maryland benefit from the services CCBC provides, and the CCBC Foundation uses funds raised in our annual tournament to assist those facing unexpected hurdles in the journey towards education. The support that tournament sponsors, players, and volunteers create through our yearly event has already had an impact on real students, as seen in the following excerpts from letters recipients have written to Jovian Concepts.

Thank you so much for your support...I really appreciate you in helping cover my educational expenses for spring 2026. Your kindness has eased my financial burden and helped me to remain focused on my education and future goals. --Zoey

I am grateful for your willingness to support veterans who are continuing their education. After my military service, I chose to pursue a new career in aviation through CCBC's Professional Pilot program. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience, but it has also required significant financial commitment. Unlike many degree programs, aviation students face substantial costs for flight time, aircraft use, instructor training, and FAA certification requirements that can quickly add up. Your support helps lessen those expenses and allows me to continue moving toward my goal of becoming a flight instructor and eventually a professional pilot. Knowing that people like you believe in the success of student veterans is both encouraging and motivating. Your generosity is helping me continue a journey that I hope will allow me to mentor future pilots and continue serving others in a different capacity. --Thomas

Many veterans such as myself often feel lost and discouraged when navigating the "civilian world" once again. However, in this pursuit of higher education, it's quite comforting to know that we are not alone, as supporters like yourself encourage us to carry on into the next chapters of our lives. Finances are certainly a heavy burden on us all, so we cannot stress enough our appreciation for your donation. In my case, your generosity will help cover my book fees. Thank you once again. --Kurtis

I cannot thank you enough for your generosity and service to veterans just like myself. As a twelve-year combat service-connected veteran, I felt it was my job to serve this country, and I also feel it's my job to get an education and have that same drive I had in the military during my service and military deployments. It's people like you that are valued just as much for your service to veterans as veterans are with serving our country. Thank you so much, once again. I am honored. --Antron
