Looking at 2023 by the Numbers

2023 has given us much to celebrate here at Jovian Concepts. Take a look at our year by the numbers:

5 major awards received-- We've been recognized by the Department of Labor for successfully recruiting, hiring, and retaining veterans, by the Executive Alliance Honor Roll for encouraging female representation in leadership positions, by the Cybersecurity Association of Maryland as being Contractor of the Year (<$50M) for contributing to the nation's cybersecurity ecosystem, by Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) for outstanding philanthropy, and by Baltimore Sun Media Group as a Top Workplace for providing a positive corporate culture as reflected by a survey of our employees.

9 degrees and certifications earned by Jovians-- By providing 100% up front tuition for classes and certifications, Jovian Concepts encourages employees to be life-long learners. We're proud of our Jovians who've worked toward a variety of advancements, including cyber and program management.

120 seats filled at Oriole Park at Camden Yards-- With our founder being born and raised in Baltimore, Jovians are treated to the opportunity to attend baseball games. What a season to watch the Orioles! We had no trouble finding takers for our seats, close up and near the action. Go O's!

500 puff pastries made in Vermont-- Jovian Concepts is known for our Down to Earth, Up to the Challenge spirit. This is evident each summer as we venture to new and exciting locations for our teambuilding retreat. 2023 saw us in the Green Mountain State at a culinary school, making appetizers to serve our Plus Ones later in the evening. From dough to filling, Jovians worked together like even the most seasoned cooking show stars to make both savory and sweet puffs that proved to be delicious.

2 new babies welcomed-- Our annual family picnic this year had two tiny additions, sporting their Jovian onesies!

Having the opportunity to gather informally with Plus Ones and children adds to the Cohesiveness we're known for. Picnics and other social gatherings in diverse range of sizes and shapes provide Balance and support the Core Values our employees identified way back in 2017. And these new babies are lucky to have their parents enjoy our newly expanded benefits for parents!

5717 square feet added-- Jovian Concepts is growing! To make room, our corporate headquarters in Hanover, MD, expanded in 2023. The new space reflects a mix of our classic branding with the addition of that of our new primes.

7,359,050 steps taken in one month-- Ok, now we're just showing off, but that number is legit! More than half the company participated in our in-house friendly competition called the Get Moving Challenge (GMC) in 2023. The GMC allows Jovians to focus on adding movement to each day by posting and accepting challenges. This year, Jovians climbed, ran, danced, played with pets and kids, and even cleaned each month to earn points toward a grand prize of their choosing. The September Challenge was to see which team of Jovians could clock the most steps. It's both alarming and amusing to see how seriously Jovians take our Up to the Challenge motto! The best news is that everyone wins when increasing fitness is part of the game.

6 advancements made internally-- At Jovian Concepts there is room to grow professionally. This year four Jovians moved into leadership positions and two Jovians were promoted. As part of the Jovian Concepts Leadership Development Program, mentorship eases pathways toward professional growth. Together with our Skillbridge and summer intern programs, advancement is encouraged.

25 diverse groups helped-- In 2023 Jovian Concepts supported over 25 different non-profit organizations and efforts through philanthropy. From our major support for the military and education through organizations such as the American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) and CCBC to smaller projects suggested by employees, Jovians raised funds and awareness to improve the community around us.
