October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the perfect time to consider our online habits and share with loved ones how to stay cyber-safe.
Four critical habits to share with family and friends, especially those who are new to online environments, are as follows:
Use multi-factor authentication (MFA), sometimes also called two-factor or two-step authentication, such as an app, key, call, or text.
Make your passwords strong. Here are some tips for making passwords effective.
Beware of phishing and report it. By default, don't trust emails and always use a different method to double-check if you receive an unexpected request or an email asking you to click anything.

Update software often. The updates often address the latest security risks.
It's a Big Idea to look out for each other's safety online.
