Get Involved with Jovian Concepts -- Early Summer 2021

Summer brings a welcomed energy this year to most people, including those of us at Jovian Concepts. New this summer are more in-person gatherings for which we are grateful. Ever wonder what our Core Values of Balance and Cohesiveness look like in action? Take a look at some of the ways we Get Involved this summer.

Creativity was unleashed this month at our first Paint Nite. Everyone agreed this is something we will try again, so be on the lookout for the next time we break out the art supplies. In addition to Paint Nite, we hosted our first employee happy hour for a large group at our Mellon Road office, have a Happy Hour planned this month in Georgia, and have already started planning the long-postponed Open House for our close partners and associates.

The Jovian Concepts Professional Development and Personal Growth Book Club finished reading the Madeline Albright memoir Hell and Other Destinations with mixed reviews. Employees voted on our next book, Think Like a Rocket Scientist, by Ozan Varol, just in time for summer reading by the pool or beach.

Major League Baseball is a fun excuse for employees and their families to take a trip to downtown Baltimore. Jovian Concepts provides the tickets and parking passes for home games of the Orioles. Now, if only Baltimore could start a winning streak...

Our first Pet Supply Drive was a huge success and a great excuse to add more cat photos to Instagram (because it needed more cat photos). Thanks to all who donated! Like most of the community outreach at Jovian Concepts, what started as one employee's idea grew to have a positive impact on the community. Pet supplies were delivered to the MDSPCA to support the work they do with Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland. Their Kibble Connection program helps keep pets with their people by delivering appropriate pet food to clients who are homebound or otherwise struggle to obtain food on a consistent basis.
